We are seeking a hands-on Software Development Engineer I to develop backend services and APIs supporting AI/ML-enabled applications for Amdocs. This opportunity is ideal for engineers with practical backend development experience and an interest in AI-assisted software development.

🏢 Work Model: 100% Onsite
💼 Experience: 2+ Years🇺🇸 Visa: USC, GC, or eligible H-1B candidates
📌 Important: Local candidates only; must be comfortable with the full onsite overnight schedule.
🔹 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop backend services, software components, and REST APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable code using Java, Go, Kotlin, C++, or similar languages.
• Build and maintain backend interfaces supporting AI/ML-enabled applications.
• Write unit and integration tests and debug application issues.
• Improve application performance, reliability, and code quality.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborative development activities.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, builds, and deployment workflows.
• Use AI development tools to improve engineering productivity.

🔹 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or accepted equivalent experience.
• Hands-on programming experience in Java, Go, Kotlin, C++, or another relevant language.
• Experience developing backend systems, APIs, or software components.
• Knowledge of unit testing, integration testing, and debugging.
• Familiarity with AI tools and AI-assisted development.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Must be available for 100% onsite work in Bethpage, NY, on the specified overnight schedule.
