About the Role
Our Client is seeking a Project Manager 1 (PM1) to support its Clean Energy Siting Team and expand regional coverage across New York State.
This is a fully remote position, with the candidate required to be located within an eligible region of New York State outside the Client's existing office markets. The successful candidate will work closely with local governments, communities, and other stakeholders to provide educational, engagement, and technical support related to clean energy project planning and development.

Required Experience
Candidates must have experience in at least one of the following areas:
Clean energy
Solar energy
Battery energy storage
Wind energy

Key Responsibilities
Provide educational, engagement, and technical support to local governments navigating clean energy project development.
Support communities and stakeholders with questions related to solar, battery storage, and wind energy projects.
Assist local governments with clean energy planning and development-related questions.

Provide guidance related to:
Long-range and comprehensive planning
Land use and zoning
Property taxation and assessments
Clean energy project development
Serve as a generalist resource for local governments and stakeholders, addressing a broad range of clean energy siting and development needs.
Build relationships with local governments, community stakeholders, and energy-sector organizations.
Support regional outreach and engagement to increase access to clean energy siting resources.
Help expand the team's geographic reach and capacity across New York State.
Travel within the assigned region as needed to support communities and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with local governments.
Experience with the New York Power Authority (NYPA).
Experience working with state agencies.
Experience with energy groups or energy associations.
GIS experience is preferred.
