We are seeking an experienced Physical Design Engineer to join a dynamic team working on advanced ASIC and SoC designs. This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to work on challenging projects and collaborate closely with customers, frontend, and integration teams to ensure successful tape-outs.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
Perform pre-layout STA for feasibility analysis and timing constraint validation
Execute chip/block-level floorplanning and pin assignments
Review clock specifications for completeness and feasibility
Manage end-to-end physical design tasks: placement, CTS, routing, and timing optimization
Conduct sign-off activities including RC extraction, STA, IR-drop analysis, and physical verification
Debug and resolve physical design challenges across timing, libraries, and CAD tools
Participate in customer meetings and deliver technical presentations
✅ Required Qualifications:
BSEE with 10+ years of experience (MSEE preferred)
Strong experience in ASIC Physical Design and SoC development (28nm/16nm nodes)
Hands-on expertise with EDA tools such as ICC2/Innovus
Proficiency in scripting languages (Perl, Tcl, Python)
Solid understanding of ASIC frontend design
Experience with flat and hierarchical layouts
Knowledge of power analysis (PrimePower/RedHawk) and STA (PrimeTime)
Experience in physical verification and fixing PV errors in layout
Expertise in Verilog HDL netlists and physical design libraries
