💼 Project Overview:
The State of New York is seeking an experienced Business Analyst Consultant to support business process analysis, requirements gathering, testing coordination, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration for critical technology integration initiatives.
The selected candidate will work as a Primary/Lead Business Analyst and play a key role throughout the SDLC lifecycle.
🔎 Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze business domains, systems, and processes
• Document workflow processes, data inputs/outputs, and business rules
• Gather, validate, and document:
Functional requirements
Non-functional requirements
• Assess business models and technology integrations
• Create:
Test plans
Test reports
Defect tracking documentation
• Manage defects using industry-standard tools
• Plan, design, develop, and execute testing strategies
• Translate technical information into business-friendly documentation
• Prioritize business requirements across multiple stakeholders
• Collaborate with technical teams, business users, and project stakeholders
• Support SDLC activities and project delivery
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and training activities
• Participate in mentoring, peer reviews, and standards documentation
✅ Mandatory Qualifications:
✔ 84 Months experience as a Primary or Lead Business Analyst
✔ 84 Months experience with test plans, test reports, and defect management tools
✔ 60 Months experience gathering and documenting functional/non-functional requirements
✔ 60 Months experience documenting business processes and workflows
✔ 48 Months experience planning and executing testing strategies
✔ 48 Months experience translating technical documentation for business users
✔ 36 Months experience prioritizing business requirements among stakeholders
✔ 36 Months experience as:
Systems Analyst
Software Engineer
Developer
⭐ Preferred Qualifications:
• Certified Business Analyst or QA Tester
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field
