New York State Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking an experienced Expert Business Analyst to support enterprise business applications by gathering business requirements, documenting business processes, developing testing artifacts, executing functional and regression testing, and providing production support. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, documentation, stakeholder communication, and testing experience within large enterprise environments.
Required Experience:
7+ years (84 Months) of experience eliciting business requirements from business users and existing system artifacts.
7+ years (84 Months) of experience developing and maintaining business documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Use Cases, Process Flow Diagrams, Context Diagrams, Screen Mockups, and Data Dictionaries.
7+ years (84 Months) of experience creating Test Plans, Test Cases, Functional Testing, System Testing, Regression Testing, and Requirements Traceability documentation.
7+ years (84 Months) of experience identifying, documenting, tracking, and retesting application defects through resolution.
2+ years (24 Months) of experience working with Criminal Justice Systems, including one or more of the following: Criminal History Processing, Disposition Processing, Fingerprint Identification, Sex Offender Management, Wanted/Missing Persons Tracking, Statistical Reporting, or Law Enforcement Applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze business processes and system documentation.
Gather and document business requirements.
Create process flows, BRDs, use cases, and mockups.
Develop test plans, test cases, and UAT materials.
Track requirements and testing throughout the SDLC.
Perform functional, system, regression, and UAT testing.
Log, track, and validate defects.
Support production issues and help desk documentation.
Work closely with business users, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders.
